Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement

At Infinity Contracting, we believe that every individual has the right to live and work in freedom and dignity. Modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour and exploitation have no place in our business, in our supply chains or in the wider construction industry. This statement explains the steps we take and the standards we expect to protect people, promote fairness and ensure we operate responsibly.

1. Our Business & Values

Infinity Contracting provides professional contracting, maintenance and emergency callout services across the UK. As a growing company, we rely on a combination of directly employed staff, approved subcontractors and material suppliers.

Our values are built on:

  • Integrity – doing the right thing, even when no one is watching
  • Respect – treating everyone fairly, professionally and humanely
  • Accountability – taking ownership of the impact we have on people and communities

These values guide how we recruit, how we work and who we partner with.

2. Our Commitment to Preventing Modern Slavery

We take a zero-tolerance approach to modern slavery. This includes:

  • No forced or compulsory labour
  • No child labour
  • No exploitation, abuse or coercion
  • No recruitment practices that take advantage of vulnerable people
  • No employment of anyone without the right to work in the UK

We expect every supplier, subcontractor and partner to uphold equivalent standards.

3. Recruitment & Employment Practices

We only recruit through legitimate, approved channels.
Our internal policies ensure:

  • All employees provide verified right-to-work documentation
  • Workers are paid fairly, transparently and directly
  • No worker is charged recruitment fees
  • No worker’s passport or identification is ever retained
  • Staff receive their employment terms in writing
  • We encourage a culture where employees can confidently raise concerns

We monitor these processes continuously to ensure compliance and fairness.

4. Working With Suppliers & Subcontractors

The construction sector can involve complex supply chains. We actively manage this by:

  • Conducting due diligence checks before onboarding any subcontractor
  • Requiring all partners to agree to our Anti-Slavery & Ethical Conduct Policy
  • Monitoring subcontractor performance and terminating relationships where standards are not met
  • Preferring UK-based suppliers with established compliance systems
  • Reviewing any higher-risk categories such as labour-only subcontracting, raw materials and imported goods

We do not work with anyone who cannot demonstrate a clear commitment to ethical labour practices.

5. Training & Awareness

We provide appropriate training to those responsible for recruitment, site management and supply-chain oversight. Key team members are trained to:

  • Recognise indicators of modern slavery
  • Respond correctly if concerns or suspicions arise
  • Report issues immediately and safely
  • Protect vulnerable individuals

We are working toward rolling out awareness materials so all staff understand their role in preventing exploitation.

6. Reporting Concerns

We encourage staff, suppliers and the public to report any concerns relating to modern slavery. Reports can be made confidentially and will always be taken seriously.

We commit to:

  • Investigating all reports quickly
  • Protecting anyone who raises a concern (“whistleblowing”)
  • Taking appropriate action, including notifying authorities where necessary

We will never tolerate retaliation against anyone who speaks up.

7. Continuous Improvement

Modern slavery risks evolve and so do we. Over the next 12 months we will focus on:

  • Strengthening supply-chain checks
  • Documenting clearer risk assessments
  • Expanding staff training
  • Continuing to enhance transparency in our operations

We review this statement annually to ensure it reflects our commitments and progress.

8. Approval

This statement has been reviewed and approved by the leadership of Infinity Contracting.
